# Connection must be made error in Android chat SDK

We are getting the below-mentioned error in Android Chat SDK,

> SendBirdException{code=800101, message=Connection must be made.} 6 at com.sendbird.android.SocketManager.A(SourceFile:1) 7 at com.sendbird.android.APIClient.p(SourceFile:29) 8 at com.sendbird.android.GroupChannel$v0.call(SourceFile:8) 9 at com.sendbird.android.GroupChannel$v0.call(SourceFile:1) 10 at com.sendbird.android.s$a.call(SourceFile:1) 11 at java.util.concurrent.FutureTask.run(FutureTask.java:264) 12 at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor.runWorker(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:1137) 13 at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:637) 14 at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:1012)

Please let us know what are the possibilities that an error can occur & what will be impact?

**SDK version used is:-**  
sendbird-android-sdk:3.0.159  
sendbird-syncmanager:1.1.30

Any update on this?

SendbirdException{code=800101, message=Connection must be made. Connection is required when sending a request. (/v3/group\_channels)}

getting the above error in the SDK version sendbird-chat:4.2.1 as well.
