Detecting Chat Bots

Our platform Butterfli is concerned with bots taking advantage of one our premium features that allows a user to earn points for earning likes on posts and sending awards through direct messages. Each new user is given 10 awards to distribute when they sign in (more if they upgrade) and the more awards you receive from other users, the more points you acquire. This can easily be abused if someone uses bots to create multiple accounts to then send themselves awards. I was speaking with sales today on bot prevention on Sendbird and he referred me here.

What kind of provisions does Sendbird have to prevent bots from potentially abusing our platform? Is it even able to detect these things?

@joshtornqu Hello, we do support smart throttling and spam flood protection but unfortunately not type of provision you asked since sdk or platform api do not know any contexts from client’s features.
