# Difference between package "sendbird" vs "@sendbird/chat"

In the latest versions of both, what is the difference between them? Which one should I use for an angular web app?

Welcome to the Sendbird Community!

The tutorial works with Sendbird Chat SDK version 3([v3.1.32](https://github.com/sendbird/SendBird-SDK-JavaScript/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md#v3132-jan-31-2023)).  
We introduced the new version of Chat SDK v4 for JavaScript(“@sendbird/chat”). Since v4 has major breaking changes, you should refer to the migration guide([link](https://sendbird.com/docs/chat/v4/javascript/getting-started/migration-guide#1-migration-guide)) if needed.
