# Does SendBird comply with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield?

SendBird complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as it is established by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission. And SendBird adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles regarding the collection, retention and use of a customer’s personal information.
