# getMessagesByMessageId() not working

Hi,

I’m trying to use ` getMessagesByMessageId()` according to the documentation [Load messages by timestamp or message ID | Chat JavaScript SDK | Sendbird Docs](https://sendbird.com/docs/chat/v4/javascript/message/loading-messages/load-messages-by-timestamp-or-message-id#1-load-messages-by-timestamp-or-message-id) but I’m getting ` getMessagesByMessageId is not a function`  
But when I replace it with ` getMessagesByTimestamp()`  
it works just fine.

SDK version: v4.0.9

Looks like this is a bug. We’ll get this corrected in the `4.0.10` release.

Hi @Tyler,

Was this issue fixed in the `4.0.10` release?  
I’m still getting the same error

Looks like there was a delay getting it out in this release. It’s scheduled to be included in `4.0.11` which is slated hopefully for next Wednesday KST.
