SHAME! - Disappointment Towards SendBird Team

When registering and logging in for the first time, SendBird employs a deceptive technique with its customers. They initially provide a free trial for Voice/Video calls APIs along with free credits. Customers are led to believe that they can easily add more credits whenever needed, even after the trial period expires or the credits are used up. However, once the free trial ends and customers upgrade to the developer plan, the entire Calls SDK is disabled. It is not available in this plan, and enabling it requires an additional cost starting from $399, followed by the need to top up credits. It’s important to note that nowhere in the documentation, tutorials, or dashboard is it specified that access to the Calls SDK will be restricted after the free trial period. This practice is unethical and unfavorable. We appreciate SendBird for providing the SDK, but our team will assess and evaluate its usage accordingly.
