How to resolve Desk web based push notification issues during setup

An agent can not see or hear the push notification banner or sound when the customer sends a message or creates a new ticket via Sendbird Desk.

Sendbird Desk relies on Browser Notification API for receiving notifications on all related Desk pages.

Solution:

Check your push notification settings on the Sendbird Dashboard for Desk and your system preferences to allow notifications.

  • Agent settings from your Desk

  • System preference.(Example, For Firefox, For Chrome)
