It would be amazing if the image preview in the chat (SBUGroupChannelViewController) would be either landscape or portrait mode, according to the original image format. Currently, they’re all shown in landscape preview mode.

Hi there,
Thank you for your response and for considering this feature request. I’ve provided the details below as required:
Detailed Use Case
In our application, users frequently share images in the chat. These images include both portrait and landscape formats, such as photos, documents, and screenshots. Currently, the fixed landscape preview distorts portrait images, making them harder to view or interpret. This creates a less intuitive experience for our users.
Why We Need This
Having previews that match the original image format (portrait or landscape) ensures a seamless user experience. It avoids unnecessary distortion and better represents the shared content. Additionally, it aligns with user expectations, as most chat applications dynamically adjust previews to maintain the original aspect ratio.
How Is This a Blocker?
This limitation creates confusion and dissatisfaction among users who expect their images to display correctly. It negatively impacts the overall usability of the chat interface, particularly when viewing content like tall screenshots, vertical photos, or document scans, where critical information might be cut off or squeezed into an unnatural aspect ratio.
Workarounds Tried
Currently, users must click on the image to view it in full-screen mode to see it properly. While this works, it adds unnecessary friction to the user experience. Ideally, the image preview should accurately represent the content without requiring an extra step.
I hope this helps to clarify the need for this feature. Please let me know if you require any additional information or examples.
