Hi Sendbird team,
We run a production Sendbird application with Chat and Calls enabled. We’re building a multi-host live audio/video “rooms” feature and would like to use Sendbird Live for it, reusing our existing users, authentication, chat data (open channels), and the same App ID.
Our Dashboard does not show Live Studio for this application, and we understand Live may be provisioned via the “Calls + Live” product type. Since we want to build on our existing application rather than create a new one, so we want to know:
- Can Sendbird Live be enabled on our existing Chat + Calls application without creating a new/separate Live application?
- Does enabling Live require a plan upgrade or additional authorization/entitlement? If so, what plan and pricing applies? Our expected usage: a small number of broadcasters per room (up to ~6 hosts/co-hosts) plus a potentially large audience of view-only participants — we’d like to understand how audience (viewer) minutes are billed.
- After Live is enabled, can we keep the current App ID and continue to reuse our existing users and Chat data (open channels) within the same application?
