To what extent is the `message_id` unique?

Wondering if the message_id is unique only within the chat group or globally unique; i.e. unique within the application/organization, etc.

Also, the tag search for the editor seems to be broken. I couldn’t set the required tag to save my life. Writing the same post for the fifth time, and gave up. Can’t seem to post under “Chat API/SDK”

Hi @GoGo7,

My apologies for the delayed response on this topic. Message_id is unique to a region. So for example, a message_id would be unique to any application in our AP-1 region.

Wow… I was going to (somewhat safely) go ahead and assume that it is unique within the group channel.
