Change server region

Hi,

I was wondering if it’s possible to change the region in which Sendbird server was created. Right now my sendbird server is in Tokyo, Japan however since the Oregon, USA server was created it would be ideal if I could move my existing server over to that region while keeping the same application id. Is this at all possible?

Hi @Darin_Tanaka

while keeping the application id, you cannot change the region.
After creating a new application id, you must migrate the user, message, and channel.

first exporting data through the dashboard or platform API (Data export | Chat Platform API | Sendbird Docs)
and request migration API to be available through Sendbird Technical Support. (Migration | Chat Platform API | Sendbird Docs)
