Not receiving calls when app is in background or killed in MI/Redmi phones

Hello Team Sendbird,

We have implemented calling in our application.
Everything works great in other mobile phones but in MI/Redmi mobile phones receiver side doesn’t get a call when app is in background or cleared from backstack(i.e. killed by user or system)
.

please help.

Have you checked that the app is within “protected apps” list? I believe Redmi has also a “protected apps” list like Huawei, Vivo which disables app in background

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with Java or Android and so I’ll likely not be of any use in this scenario.
