Salesforce Sendbird Connector - i want some agents to be read only on chats

Hi! I’ve installed Salesforce Sendbird Connector and followed the integration guide, we have the chat component on the left of the case record on the lightning page and the chat utility bar.

we have a number of salesforce users who are not in our service team who we would like to be able to read the conversation but now be able to respond, and we want our service team to be able to read and write, chat.

Is there a permission set or profile change we need to make to set users as read only.
As so far users can read and reply to chats, or not see the conversation at all
