Settings in "Dashboard > Settings > Features > Delivery receipt" are not reflected properly

I need to dig into this a bit more to clarify, but I believe that when there are not delivery receipts, the message is automatically marked as delivered in the UIKit. The UIKit utilizes the following section to determine whether or not to mark the message as delivered:
